At the Western Wall, Jerusalem, two delegates listen to a Jewish resident

At the Western or Wailing Wall, two of my tour colleagues, Don Laitin, from Toronto, and Stan Edelson, from the Boston area, found this old fellow who engaged them in a heated conversation.

The gist: all Arabs are enemy, they wish us harm, I say remove them, and those who won’t move, kill them.

The man is from the US.

The Western or Wailing Wall in Jerusalem ("City of Peace") is what remains of the retaining wall of the platform on which the Second Temple sat, the temple destroyed by the Romans in about 70 CE. Wailing because of that destruction nearly two millennia ago. And now the site of fervent prayers and passionate argument. Antiquity lines up with modernity.
