WINTER LIGHT

Transforming to spring,
once winter, now, March 4, 2011 (16 days before equinox),
the swing season of
dark to light, light to more light, chill to heat,
dormant to activated.

Clear sky to hazy and dusty, long shadows to short,
reddish light to bluish—are these the main differences between winter and spring light?

The bear emerges from her cave, her eyes blinded by the light.
She stretches, feels hunger, galumphs off for food—
life and light restored.
