7th Annual Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial: “Occupying the Dream”
This epic event will feature Brandeis’ own awe-inspiring jazz juggernaut Louise Grasmere, melodic duet and sensational songbirds Darlene Zephyrine’12 & Erin Lue-Hing’12, celebrated poet-extraordinaire Usman Hameedi’12, and the return of Spoken-Word powerhouse Kayo-as accompanied by poet “Proverb.” The spirit and human embodiment of Dr. King will be channeled through the delivery of one of Dr. King’s great speeches by Jermaine Hamilton’13. Our keynote address will be delivered by history/herstory making woman warrior and award winning television journalist Reverend Liz Walker.
