Winter Light: Columbia Point, Boston

The question remains: what is Winter Light (and does it differ from Spring, Summer, or Autumn Light)?

A winter that is not
winter,
not the usual New England winter.

Some say this is merely the
January Thaw,
typical for the region.

Some say, not to worry, enjoy
the balmy weather.

But what about the light, the
Winter Light
generated by the frigid air?

Instead, this winter light is
hazy, soft, lush (at times),
not the severe, sharp, and could be
penetrating light of winter.

Will we ever again experience that
Winter Light?
