Mother's Day Walk for Peace, the 20th Annual in Boston

A nearly 7 mile walk from Fields Corner in Dorchester to Boston City Hall, commemorating lives lost in neighborhoods, usually by and because of young adults. At the same time, a plea for peace, working toward it in many ways.

Little birdie, little birdie
Come sing to me a song.
I've a short time to be here
And a long time to be gone.

—Traditional American, often sung by Pete Singer

Lewis D. Brown Peace Institute
