On Our Way Home-13

Abdel Majid Abusrour, the uncle of Abdelfattah Abusrour (from On Our Way Home photos-12), expelled when 14 years old from Beit Nattif in in 1948: an Egyptian helped his family flee. Jordanian soldiers worked with the Israelis to expedite removal. For a time the family lived in the forest near the Israeli community Netiv ha-Lamed-Heh built on village land in 1949. He was shot in the knee, I’m not sure when, whether during removal or later. When I visited that area later (October 2018) I discovered a massive road building project erasing more of the village land.
