A powerful response to the fires in the Amazonian rainforest of Brazil

Fires destroy thousands of acres of rainforest in Brazil (and 8 other countries) that border the rainforest, and drive out hundreds of indigenous people along with their food and shelter, while president Jair Bolsonaro refuses to take action. Organized by Extinction Rebellion Massachusetts, about 40 people protested during morning rush hour outside the Brazilian Consulate in Boston, part of a worldwide movement for attention, not only to these fires but to the looming climate catastrophe, hence extinction.
