26-Fatima Ali Msaimi (Um Wajeeh)
Born in 1932, she fled her original village of Jammasin/Jamaseen near Jaffa (now buried beneath the Tel Aviv municipality) and as of June 2019 lives in the Tulkarm refugee camp. She was married at the age of 14 in the village of Wadi Al Qabani near Khudaira. Fatima spoke lovingly of how she met her husband who’d spotted her, fell in love immediately, and she reciprocated within one day. (With gratitude to Fareed Taamallah, friend and colleague)
