Jerusalem, thought by some to be the Center of the World, if not the Universe

In and around the Old City as I plan and photograph my Ongoing Nakba project about forcibly expelled Palestinians, their villages destroyed and inaccessible. Not exactly the City of Light, but I find Jerusalem to be the City of Love—and division and rancor and conquest. Yet, in the Old City, diverse peoples visit, love, worship, and live. Occasionally, a stabbing or shooting, but this prospect need not dissuade the adventurous. "Thus says the Lord God: 'This is Jerusalem; I have set her in the midst of the nations and the countries all around her.'" (Ezekiel 5:5)
