2-Returning from prayer at the Al Aqsa mosque-on Friday during Ramadan

The Old City of Jerusalem during Ramadan hosts Muslim Palestinians (from other countries as well), which, after mid day prayer, is crammed. This is Friday, the holy day of the week. The weather has been exceptionally and dangerously hot. Despite the relative coolness of the Old City, once outside, especially in the afternoon, such an observance requires true dedication. Add to that: fasting (no food and no drink) dawn to dusk, weeks within summer solstice, the longest days of the year. The days only lenghten between now and when Ramadan ends on June 4, 30 days of Ramadan.
