To commemorate World Refugee Day—June 20, 2021

A special set of refugees from the Nakba: the catastrophe of 1948 when Israel, to form its new state, forcibly expelled more than 700,000 Palestinians from between 400 and 600 villages and towns, a period reverberating today. From my photographic series, The Ongoing and Relentless Nakba.
