New England Yearly Meeting sessions-August 2022-Castleton Vermont-Part two

Altho the outer world beckoned me—rural mountainous Vermont—with weather shifting from painfully hot to deliciously cool, we pioneers often gathered inside for events like this, sharable widely thanks by Zoom.

Finally, yesterday I was able to renew my exploration of this portion of earth. In two phases: short walk along the old RR trail thru the campus, under a voluminous sky, billowing as the cold front passes thru (of course I photographed), and later a longer walk to the Amtrak station on the walk path, remembering, observing, pondering. As I said in my home group talking about my two walks, engaging with the local terrain is always a feature of my travels, but also more regularly now I try to imagine life before white settlers, when native people for some 15 centuries were the human inhabitants.
