The Sumoud Chronicle-#27 (based on My Covid Chronicle)-January 6-April, 5. 2022

Since the beginning of the Covid pandemic in early 2020, I've sampled my photography and videoagraphy to create My Covid Chronicle. Now, the pandemic more or less receding, I continue my tradition of sampling my image making with a new name, The Sumoud Chronicle. What you ask, does "sumoud" mean? It's Arabic for steadfastness. I write this on December 5, 2024, imbued with hope for the end of this particular health threat, while i mourn and quake at the lack of effective response to the crisis in the Middle East, notably Gaza. In today's set I explore themes of winter, my retreat at the Agape Community, and addressing the climate crisis thru civil disobedience organized by the global climate justice movement, Extinction Rebellion (XR).
