Expanded Vision: A Sniff of Hydropolitics in Gaza

Photos by Skip Schiel & Teeksa Photography—teeksaphoto.org

A sampling: greenhouses (bought from disengaging settlers by American Jews, given to Palestinians, produce can't be exported from Gaza because of the siege, business fails, no plastic allowed in by Israel, greenouses deteriorate), the port (not allowed by Israel), swimming area (Israel destroyed it during the unilateral pullout in 2005), sewage (mostly untreated and flowing dirctly into the Mediterranean Sea), electrical power plant (operating for now after being Israel destroyed it in 2006), and the beach (heavily poluted, can't go more than 6 miles out, beautiful in parts nonetheless).
