Observations of a people in turmoil

Blog

A sampling: greenhouses (bought from disengaging settlers by American Jews, given to Palestinians, produce can't be exported from Gaza because of the siege, business fails, no plastic allowed in by Israel, greenhouses deteriorate), the port (not allowed by Israel), swimming area (Israel destroyed it during the unilateral pullout in 2005), sewage (mostly untreated and flowing directly into the Mediterranean Sea), electrical power plant (operating for now after Israel destroyed it in 2006), and the beach (heavily polluted, can't go more than 6 miles out, beautiful in parts nonetheless).
