Meeting for 5 days at Bryant University in Smithfield RI, 800 or so Quakers attend workshops, deliberate business, pray and meditate, congregate with their age-related peers, sing, dance, play music, avoid or grapple with problems of the wider world (“War: God Help Us!”), and re-energize for tough days ahead. “To the stars, over rough roads, oh valiant friends.”
